Weights and Measures for CNAs

This course helps caregivers understand how to use and convert common measurements in the healthcare setting. Learners will learn common terminology for measurements and how to use both the household and metric measurement systems.

Define key terminology.
Identify units of measurement used in the household and metric systems for weight, length, and volume.
Identify and describe equipment commonly used by the Nurse Assistant for measuring weight, length, height, and volume.
Convert common measurements between the household and metric systems.
Measure and record weight, height, and volume using both metric and household systems.
Convert between standard time and military time (24-hour clock).
