Understanding Palliative Care

This course provides an overview of palliative care, including the six components of palliative care, the goal of this type of care, and how to provide both physical and emotional support to clients who are receiving palliative care. The course includes specific client examples that illustrate the role that caregivers and aides play in providing palliative care.

Identify clients who are eligible for palliative care.
List three ways to help a client who is receiving palliative care.
Determine when the palliative care team must be notified of changes in a client.
