This course identifies signs of workplace violence that may be encountered by the healthcare professional, including a detailed review of the types of risk factors that may be prevalent in the post-acute industry. Clinicians will learn effective strategies to respond to workplace violence with and without threats or weapons, and tips to help them to remain safe in all situations. Additionally, terrorism acts and active shooter events are addressed, including reinforcement of the 6 Basic Tips to Prevent Workplace Violence that every healthcare professional can employ to stay safe in daily practice.
