Hospice Core Services for Managers and Leaders

This course reviews the hospice regulations related to Core Services found in the Conditions of Participation. Regulations are reviewed from the perspective of hospice managers and leaders who are responsible for ensuring quality care is provided in a regulatory compliant manner. Typical manager scenarios are included to allow learners to practice applying new knowledge.

Identify the core services hospice agencies must provide. Distinguish between core services that must be provided by hospice staff and non-core services that may be provided on a contract basis. Apply requirements in patient and administrative scenarios. Discuss the agency implications of non-compliance.
