Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias for Senior Living Clinicians

This course discusses Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias that senior living clinicians will likely see when interacting with clients. Clinicians will become familiar with common assessments conducted to ensure that clients living with dementia receive appropriate assistance and care. Common changes that may cause behavioral disturbances, potential safety issues for clients living with ADRD, and Tips for Managing Dementia Behaviors are identified. This course also discusses common medications and other treatments used to support clients living with dementia.
