This course covers the basic elements of quality assessment performance improvement programs and the hospice quality reporting program outlined in the Hospice Conditions of Participation. It also reviews current hospice quality measures and how the quality measure data is used.

  • Identify the components that currently make up the HQRP.
  • Correlate the omission of data collection for HIS measures with the quality measure outcomes.
  • Apply the steps used to calculate composite measure scores from individual measure data.
  • List two resources to obtain information about the HQRP requirements including any updates planned/implemented.
