Internal Celebrations

CEO Announcement

Consider asking your CEO to send out an email congratulating the organization on getting certified as a Great Place to Work. It's important for him or her to thank everyone for giving their feedback, as well as point out that the organization recognizes there is still room to improve and that the work is underway.

Employee parties

Vi celebrated at each of their 10 CCRCs (life plan communities) and hired a photographer to capture the celebrations. They also created this beautiful video:

[ORGANIZATION] Certified as a Great Place to Work®

[City, State] – Great Place to Work Institute has honored [ORGANIZATION] with certification as a Great Place to Work. The certification process considered more than 1,000 employee surveys from across [ORGANIZATION’s] locations. Great Place to Work, an independent research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.

[Insert quote from CEO, CHRO, or other executive at your organization, potentially touching on:

  • Metrics, especially financial measures, of the top one or two relevant culture programs that have improved your competitiveness
  • Workplace practices regarding attracting and retaining desirable employees
  • Programs that support all employees in living and working, regardless of who they are or what they do for the organization

Example: “[ORGANIZATION] has a culture all its own, and we’re proud that we are recognized for being a great place to work. Our rich history of diversity, hard work, and economic vitality help make us who we are.”

[Insert specific examples of how ORGANIZATION built or enhanced their specific culture.]

“We applaud [ORGANIZATION] for seeking certification and releasing its employees’ feedback,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung, of Great Place to Work’s senior care affiliate Activated Insights. “These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace for high performance.”
